Yes, it outputs MIDI clock and sends start, stop, and continue MIDI messages.
Yes, each output (including the headphones) has it's own mixer and can have a completely customized mix. All of this can be changed directly on the device.
Not yet.
You can play one 16 channel MIDI file per song.
The outputs are impedance balanced. Which means they can be used the same as fully balanced outputs.
For each song, you can set the behaviour when it finishes playing. Options are 'Loop', 'Queue next', or 'Play next'.
Yes. If your amp or effects pedal is MIDI enabled then you can create a MIDI file with the relevant MIDI messages in, and set them to trigger at certain points in your track.
Yes, it can read both.
The 6 1/4" outputs are mono, the headphones output is stereo. The P-1 can play stereo wav files but they will be summed to mono if you route them to a single output. It is possible to link outputs and treat them as a stereo pair. This will mean a stereo wave will be split into left and right channel to the 2 linked outputs.
Yes, although the P-1 was not designed with this intention, you can could do theoretically do this as the headphones have their own mixer and can have a completely separate mix from the other outputs. You would however still be limited to a maximum of 6 stereo wave files being played at once though.
We have many more ideas for developing this product and others, our ability to realise them relies on this first product being enough of a success :) That said, we are always keen to hear more about your needs and ideas, so get in touch.
In the box there is an Idoru P-1 pedal, a quick start guide, a suitable SD card, and a power supply with interchangeable blades for different countries. To avoid unecessary e-waste, simplify sourcing, and keep the price as low as possible, we have not included any USB cable.
The P-1 comes with an SD card in the box. Idoru P-1 supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards. It is important that card has fast enough random read speed, for this reason we recommend Class 10 SD cards with A1 class (Speed Class 1) The SD card should be formatted as FAT32. This means the maximum storage available will be 32GB on the card, even if you use a larger card. 32GB storage can contain approximately 50 hours of 16bit 44.1kHz wav files.
You can store 7 setlists on a card, and each setlist can contain up to 40 songs.
The P-1 requires 12V DC, and 1000mA , and uses a tip-positive connection. You can power it with your CIOKS DC7 by following these steps:
1. Set the Outputs to 12V: Adjust two DC7 outputs to 12V each.
2. Combine Outputs for 1000mA: Use a Parallel Adapter Flex cable (e.g., CIOKS 8800) to combine the current from two outputs.
3. Ensure Correct Polarity: The P-1 is tip-positive, so use a reverse polarity Flex cable (CIOKS Type 2) or a polarity inverter adapter.
Once connected, everything should work.
